I believe we all have something to contribute in life for the good of all and the environment we share. Working towards sustainable global goals and living in harmony with our environment is in everyone’s best interest and together we reap the reward. As a young girl I lived in close proximity with bees. Bees lived in the back garden that gave us fresh honey in harvest times and this time has shaped my outlook to the world around us. As an adult I followed my formative years’ experience and engaged in researching issues around bees and beekeepers in the context of sustainability. Learning from bee keepers first account, I share their concern about the challenges faced by the bee hiving community in rural areas of Ethiopia. That is why I decide to be involved with the betterment of the bee hiving environment. I am inviting partners with shared interest to contribute towards the Eco system of bee’s and pollinators. The decreasing pollination rates have negative ecological and economic impacts. This also undermines the preservation of wild plant diversity, ecosystem stability, crop production, food security, and human welfare. In small ways we can join our hands and bring good change to ourselves and our shared world.
